At the age of 42 I had a double hip replacement and rotator cuff surgeries on both shoulders. Post surgery/therapy my mobility and strength had diminished significantly. I knew that the only way to feel better was to move. In retrospect, I knew that if I was not trained properly, any form of exercise performed incorrectly could further diminish my progress. I had the good fortune of being placed in contact with Dave. His knowledge, experience and professionalism are unparalleled.  I fully recognize that I will never be at 100%, however, the progress I have made thus far has exceeded my expectations. After suffering a second lower back injury and rehabbing back to normal function I was hesitant to exercise, concerned I would re-injure my lower back. Dave started with an in-depth assessment that was ongoing throughout our sessions and made sure that I was developing and protecting my lower back. Dave is a teacher first and in time you gain confidence in the mechanics and execution of the exercises, that helped me perform at a higher tempo then I would in a group setting. Dave matches your progress with new homework, new insights into hydration, diet, sleep and resources to use for home exercise. I learned how to reinforce the work we didd in the gym and it all makes sense.

Life before working with Coach Dave at Movement & Mobilizations was uncomfortable. Morning were difficult, dressing myself became a task, a painful one at that. I was living my life, unbeknownst to me, unbalanced.

Life since working with Coach Dave of Movement & Mobilizations has taken a complete 180. I’ve learned not only proper technique, but discipline with my diet. I’ve learned to express my limitations and surpass my expectations in such a short amount of time. My quality of life has significantly increased. Some of my daily habits were not good choices. Coach Dave showed me how to make decisions that improved my physical and mental health.

Now I make better decisions in regards to nutrition, hydration and medication. I now understand how these decisions benefit or hinder my mind and body. Also, I now realize how important exercise is and that it is never too late to build muscle and get stronger.

I learned how to walk the proper way at age 59, how to build up muscle and get stronger in my hip and lower body and how to be aware and think before taking unnecessary medications.

Coach Dave is extremely knowledgeable about nutrition and human biomechancis. He understands how to relieve pain quickly while also improving strength. I was very impressed with his teachings. He is a terrific Coach and wonderful man.

Before working with Coach Dave I thought I was stretching my muscles well after workouts. He taught me about mobility & how to roll my muscles correctly before stretching them.

I prepare my muscles better for exercise and know how to stay more flexible. It’s a routine I’ve incorporated into my workout.
