Our goal is to optimize the performance of our client’s through the application of functional movement, biomechanics, mobility, stability, strength, speed, and power. Strength and Conditioning originated from applying Bodybuilding and Powerlifting concepts to athletes. Football was the first sport to embrace this and as a result many so-call strength and conditioning / sports performance programs today are heavily influenced by football-specific strategies. Secondary to this influence, many professionals in the industry were former football players and consequently were primarily familiar with the training strategies they experienced as athletes. This is great if you play football but potentially detrimental for other sport application.

A well-designed training program, when combined with dedication and effort, has the ability to transform a player in as little as one off-season. This can help players that lack the rapid skill acquisition and creativity that we identify with super stars that compete at the highest levels because of their superior physical development. Naturally, there is a “gift” aspect to physical development as well however, training can improve any player’s physical capacity and therefore allow them to compete at levels they may not have had a shot at otherwise.

At Movement & Mobilizations we strive to teach our client’s the importance of applying human biomechanics. When an individual can understand how his or her body is designed to functional, especially during the application of sport, undoubtedly performance adaptations occur. After an athlete grasps the positions required, we then progress to combining two or three movements together and/or apply strength, speed or power. Our sight is focused on quality not quantity. Understanding the task is paramount to success and this is why we take an individual or small group approach to training so minor mistakes don’t transform into drastic error. This allows individual’s to grow to new heights producing not only performance enhancements but also a significant presence of exuberance throughout sport and life.
